Are Storm Smith and Natalya Scudder Still Involved? Here’s What They Say
The Below Deck Mediterranean deckhand and stew gave fans an update during the Season 7 reunion.
Natalya Scudder and Storm Smith struck up a boatmance on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7, but was it able to outlast their charters?
Andy Cohen made sure to ask this very question during the reunion on Tuesday, November 22. Natalya responded, “Where we stand today, Storm’s got a new partner and she’s gorgeous. I’m happy for him.”
Storm shared a similar sentiment, explaining that while he and Natalya might not have pursued a relationship off the yacht, she “provided me an escape to all the difficulties and pressure and the anxiety I had for the season, and for that I was very, very grateful.”
As for the reasoning behind their decision to go their separate ways, Natalya said, “I think if we worked on a yacht together still, I think we would have a relationship, but he was going back to, I think, South Africa [and] I was going back to Australia. And for me in my head, I kind of already made a decision it most likely wasn’t going to work due to the time and places we were going to be.”
That didn’t make the end of the charter any easier, though. Asked by Andy, “Why tell Storm, ‘This is too much,’ and seemingly end things one day and then invite him back in your bunk the next?”
Simply put, “He was a part of my routine at that point,” Natalya responded. “We would wake up, go to work, we would have a cup of tea, he’d always bring me my Vegemite toast, and then we would always hop into bed together. It was a comfort thing for me.”
Sometimes that comfort required a little creativity, though. Teasing just how far they went, Natalya said, “It was a long season, and we had to do what we had to do! But I’m very surprised at how secretive we are.”
Captain Sandy Yawn’s guess for that secret? The bosun’s locker.
