Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7 literally got off to a rocky start when the yacht’s stabilizers went out at the end of the premiere episode. And now, thanks to a first look at the upcoming July 18 episode of Below Deck Med, we know what happens next to motor yacht Home and what exactly caused the yacht to malfunction.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck Mediterranean on Monday, June 3 at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app

The above sneak peek shows the yacht still in chaos as the stabilizers fail to work properly. “Stabilizers are fins that stop the boat from moving side to side. Losing stabilizers is very dangerous,” says Captain Sandy Yawn, explaining the severity of the situation in an interview in the clip. “The crew could get hurt. A guest could fall over and bump their head. Anything could happen.”

The Home crew is eventually able to get the stabilizers working again, but what caused the crisis in the first place? Captain Sandy details exactly what went wrong in the video above.

Having to juggle pots and pans in the galley was something new for Chef Dave White, as he recalls the commotion in the kitchen in an episode interview. “I never experienced that before. That was gnarly. I had a boiling pan of water that went into the fryer, and I had to try and catch it,” he says. “I was prepping for dinner, but now all my food’s all over the place. I have so much to do. This is a nightmare.”

Chief stew Natasha Webb is especially shaken up by the incident. “I’ve got quite bad PTSD, so this is really screwing with me right now,” she says in the video, before opening up about a near-death experience during a past yachting job.

Watch the clip above to see how the whole Home crew deals with the aftermath of the incident.

Watch Below Deck Med on Bravo Mondays at 8/7c and on the Bravo app. Catch new episodes one week early on Peacock.
