Elena Dubaich Has a Surprising Message For Bri Muller After Season 9: "I Truly Regret..."
The Below Deck Med cast member has fully admitted to some of her missteps with her fellow crew member.
Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean has found stews, Bri Muller and Elena "Ellie" Dubaich at an odds.
Both women have had issues throughout the season involving their love triangle with deckhand, Joe Bradley, the chaos in the laundry room, and the fact that they can't agree on much. But, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Monday, August 5, Ellie actually had a sweet message to Bri and expressed her regret for the things that occurred throughout this season after watching it with new eyes.
Ellie Dubaich says she regrets her treatment of Bri Muller
During her appearance on WWHL, Ellie admitted that she has a number of regrets when it comes to how she and Bri interacted throughout Season 9. She told WWHL host Andy Cohen that she regretted flirting with Joe in front of Bri at dinner. "I didn't know he was leading her on," she said.
Ellie also admitted that she regrets reminding Bri that she outranked her as second stew and venting about Bri while on the clock. But most importantly, she regrets the way that she had treated Bri throughout all of Season 9.
"You know, I've had a lot of time to reflect on my actions and whatnot," Ellie said during WWHL. "Then I'm actually glad I've had this opportunity to see myself through somebody else's eyes."
By watching the show back, this new perspective has brought a lot of clarity to Ellie. "And I realized that sometimes in other people's eyes, we are the villain in their story and that's who I was in Bri's story," she explained. "And I truly regret that."
"I should have been professional, I should have put my emotions aside, and I should have lifted her up and made her feel stronger and find strength in herself. So I regret that," she added.
Inside Bri Muller and Ellie Dubaich's love triangle with Joe Bradley
Early in Season 9, both Bri and Ellie expressed their interest in the lead deckhand, Joe. "Usually, when I set my eyes on a guy, he's already interested in me, so I just need to give him the green light," Ellie explained in Season 9, Episode 3. "That's just how it goes."
Bri, on the other hand, thought Joe could meet her needs. "Joe is a charmer...He knows exactly what to say, what to do, how to look," she said during Episode 2.
Ellie, however, ended up kissing Joe in front of Bri during Episode 9. But, during the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show, she admitted that she did not know the extent of Joe and Bri's flirtationship.
"I thought, 'Oh, she's throwing herself at Joe, he's not interested in her'...but I didn't have the correct information," Ellie explained in the video above. "I wasn't aware how much Joe was leading her on."
Captain Sandy's involvement with Bri Muller and Ellie Dubaich's feud
Things got so bad between Ellie and Bri that Captain Sandy Yawn had to get involved during Episode 9. During a meeting with both stews, Captain Sandy came up with a clear solution — resolve things or get replaced.
"Let me give you the big picture," Sandy said during the episode. "We're here to do a job and we have to respect the workplace. If you two can't work together, I can't just let go [of] one. I have to let go of both because I don't know the full story and neither does Aesha [Scott]."
"Everyone here is replaceable," Sandy concluded.
