Bobby Giancola is working toward getting his captain's license, the deckhand recently revealed on Instagram. "Captains license here I come!" Bobby captioned a nautical photo of himself on Instagram. "Workin my way to get that ticket and learning from the best."

And wouldn't you know it, one of Bobby's mentors is none other than Below Deck alum Aleks Taldykin. Bobby has been working for Aleks and his company, Elite Yacht Management in California.

Bobby has really worked his way up in the yachting industry since he left his job as a firefighter. However, Captain Sandy did recently tell The Daily Dish that she thought Bobby needed "to focus on his job and less about the girls and who Malia [White]'s wanting to be with" and to work on toning down his emotions if he hoped to be a captain one day. "Bobby I didn’t really spend time with. I think he’s more emotional. You can’t be emotional and run a boat with emotional people," she explained. "There’s a point where you have to say, 'Emotions out of it, let me assess the situation, and be fair.' You have to be fair."
