Captain Glenn Reveals if He’s Team Colin or Team Gary in the Daisy Love Triangle
The Below Deck Sailing Yacht captain has a strong opinion on who would be a better match for Daisy.
Daisy Kelliher teased that “there is a story” to tell regarding her love triangle with Colin MacRae and Gary King on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4, but viewers have yet to find out how that story ends.
In case you need a refresher, the chief stew kissed Gary in the hot tub on Season 3, and she can be seen making out with Colin in the trailer for the fourth season.
While Daisy isn’t sharing whether she’s romantically interested in Colin, Gary, or neither, someone who is close to all three is taking sides in the matter: their boss, Captain Glenn Shephard.
When asked to share if he is Team Colin or Team Gary, the Canadian revealed that he wants Daisy to be with the chief engineer.
“Don’t tell him,” Captain Glenn told ET while sitting next to Gary. “I’m probably Team Colin!”
Gary, meanwhile, actually agreed that he’s also Team Colin, but that didn’t stop Captain Glenn from defending his decision. “Gary’s a mess. Colin’s a great guy. Gary’s a great guy, I love them both. They’re like family. It’s, you know, choosing teams is [kind of] like choosing your favorite kid, but Colin’s a little more settled down,” Captain Glenn explained.
“So, if Daisy’s asking me, if she wanted to have a long-term relationship with either of these two guys, who I would say, it’s win-win,” he continued. “But if I had to choose one, I would probably say, go with Team Colin, ’cause [Gary’s] got more women chasing him; it’s just gonna be more difficult!”
Though Gary and Colin’s bromance could have been affected by their shared interest in Daisy, the first mate confirmed that he still has a rock-solid friendship with Colin.
“Our friendship is strong enough to not let anything get in the way of it,” Gary told ET, though he said the two did “argue a little bit” during the season.
Daisy also teased that Season 4 will be an explosive one during a chat with The Daily Dish.
“There’s a lot of making out [and] there’s a lot of fighting and jealousy. And you know what, it probably brought out the worst in a lot of people,” she shared about how the Parsifal III crew made “so much entertaining TV” for Season 4. “So you’re going to see a different side to some of us.”
To see it all go down, tune in to Season 4.
