Below Deck Sailing Yacht Reunion Features Surprising New Info on the Anchor Dragging Incident
Tom Pearson clears up a major misconception about the night that led to his being fired in this sneak peek at the Season 3 reunion.
Andy Cohen is taking a deep dive into the buzziest moments of the charter season with the Parsifal III crew at the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 reunion, which will air on Monday, June 27, at 8/7c. On the agenda, of course, is the anchor dragging incident that caused the vessel to run aground.
The crew member at the center of the ordeal was deckhand Tom Pearson, who was ultimately let go for failing to alert Captain Glenn Shephard and the rest of the crew in a timely manner about the anchor dragging during his night watch. Though Tom expressed prior to his departure that he didn’t think he was totally to blame, he now sees the situation a little differently.
“Of course I absolutely understand now, you know, it was my fault. There’s no getting around that. I think at the time, you know, I went straight into self-defense mode,” he explains in the above sneak peek at the reunion. “But, you know, you have time to look over these things, you have time to look back. And everyone knows — I’ve spoken to everyone individually — I take full responsibility for what happened that night. And I think that’s important that everyone knows that. I blame no one else.”
Tom also sheds new light on a major misconception from that chaotic night. Watch him set the record straight in the video above.
Earlier this season, Tom detailed the anchor dragging incident in an exclusive interview with Bravo Insider. Find out what he’s been up to since leaving the Parsifal III crew and whether he is still working in yachting.
Plenty more revelations are on the horizon in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 reunion. Check out what’s in store, below, and be sure to tune in to the jaw-dropping sit-down on Monday, June 27, at 8/7c.
