Best & Worst #TopChef Food

In soon-to-be-14 seasons of Top Chef, the judges have tasted some incredible culinary masterpieces, as well as some not-so-great dishes in their quest to crown the most talented chef in the country. But out of all of the food host Padma Lakshmi has tasted over the years, which season reigns supreme, and which one, well, doesn't?

How to Watch

Watch Top Chef on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

Padma revealed that her pick for the best cooking overall goes to Season 6, thanks to the culinary prowess of winner Michael Voltaggio and runners-up Bryan Voltaggio and Kevin Gillespie. "The best food was probably the season we did in Las Vegas," she told one caller during Thursday night's Watch What Happens Live (clip above). "It was crazy and amazing."

The Top Chef host was a little more reluctant to name the season that served up her least favorite food. "Maybe D.C. D.C. was kind of forgettable," Padma said of Season 7. "But, you know, I was nursing and hormonal, so don't ask me."

It looks like the upcoming 14th season of Top Chef, which premieres on Thursday, December 1 at 10/9c, could become Padma's new favorite. "It is the best meal I've ever had on Top Chef," she says in the new season's supertease.
