Bethenny Frankel and Lena Dunham Paddle for a Good Cause

Bravolebs and A-listers headed to the Hamptons for a charity event, and put their ocean skills on display.

If you were wondering what all the A-listers were up to this weekend, we have the answer for you: paddle boarding. Everyone from Bethenny Frankel and Rachel Zoe to Lena Dunham, Nile Rodgers, Jane Krakowski, and Gwyneth Paltrow headed out to the Hamptons to attend the Paddle & Party for Pink on Saturday (August 1).

The Bridgehampton event raised $1.6 million for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The stars rocked their beach-party best, as well as more casual attire to hit the water. But the day wasn't without some drama. While Bethenny reportedly had an OK time on her board (she has been paddle boarding all summer, so we're not that surprised), Lena needed some assistance from pro surfer Laird Hamilton.

According to eyewitnesses, the Girls star has some trouble out on the water, but lucky for her Laird was not too far away. She elaborated on Instagram:

It's hard to tell from this blurry shot, but this is an image of Laird Hamilton coming to save me. He is literally King Triton and as I struggled to complete BCRF's Paddle for Pink (an amazing event to support breast cancer research) he appeared as if from the ocean's depths and guided me to the finish line. I kept screaming "will I make it?!" like we were in a disaster movie. He said "yes, Lena, we will." Ladies, there are still a few heroes we can count on... #ThankYouLaird #paddleforpink #3miles
