Bethenny Frankel Opens up About Her Recent Custody Trial
The Real Housewives of New York City's Bethenny Frankel addresses when her custody proceedings will be settled.
Bethenny Frankel addressed her recent custody battle with ex-husband Jason Hoppy during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday night.
During the WWHL After Show (clip above), host Andy Cohen asked Bethenny, "Upsetting question, but any idea when the custody thing is gonna be settled?" The Real Housewives of New York City mogul then shared, "I think in the near future. Not so long."
Bethenny began a custody trial with Jason in March concerning their daughter, Bryn, who will turn 9 next month. Bethenny and Jason separated in 2012 after two years of marriage. They finalized their divorce in 2016.
Bethenny revealed earlier this season of RHONY that she and Dennis Shields had gotten engaged a few months before his passing last August, which the couple had kept secret. "Yeah, so I kept it to myself because I didn't want another circus of my life. So I didn't want to start telling people," she explained to Dorinda Medley. "We had our own private engagement and our own private like, oh my god, we're gonna do this. And it was intense."
Dennis even bought Bryn a ring, in addition to the rock he proposed to Bethenny with. "I loved him so much and we were family and my daughter was so close to him and I knew him for so many years," Bethenny shared.
Bethenny went public with her new relationship at the end of last year, making things Instagram official with her new boyfriend. Since then, she has continued to show how much this new special someone means to her, praising him for coming to her aid when she had a near-fatal allergic reaction and sharing his sweet support of her latest business venture.
Bethenny will open up more about life after Dennis in the next episode of RHONY Wednesday at 9/8c. Watch a preview, below.
