Bethenny Frankel Reveals Why She Stayed Out of the RHONY Reunion Group Hug
The #RHONY mogul always keeps it real.
This season's Real Housewives of New York City reunion might have had more downs than ups, but in the end, the ladies put their differences aside and came together for one big group hug. Well, almost all of the ladies.
As these New Yorkers and host Andy Cohen embraced at the very end of the third and final part of the reunion, Bethenny Frankel noticeably remained seated and stayed out of the group hug, which many fans, as well as her castmate Ramona Singer, were puzzled by as they watched the episode on Wednesday night.
This reunion seemed particularly rough for Bethenny as she sparred with Luann de Lesseps about their respective boyfriends throughout (clip above). So did she still harbor hard feelings by the end of the sit-down?
Bethenny explained her decision to stay out of the group hug on Twitter during the episode Wednesday night. "I don't double kiss & I don't fake hug," Bethenny tweeted. "Thankfully, I had strep so it wasn't an option anyway."
Though RHONY fans have had mixed reactions to Bethenny's opting out, the Skinnygirl is standing by her decision on Twitter Thursday morning. Regardless of what went down at this season's reunion, Bethenny said she just isn't really a group hug kind of gal.
Bethenny previously said she was also physically exhausted by the end of the reunion when she teased the sit-down on her Radio Andy show in August. "I felt disgusting. I felt drained," she said.
With all of the drama that went down at this season's reunion, we can see why.
