Real Househusbands have had careers in everything from show biz to medicine to real estate. But there might be one line of work that many of them find themselves in more than others: sports.
Yes, many Real Housewives and other Bravolebs have been married to professional athletes over the years. Some are still happily married, while others not so much, but they have all given us hours of entertainment. Not to mention, they've also inspired us to hit the gym.
Check out some of the sportiest couples to ever be featured on Bravo, below.
1. Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann
It was basically love at first sight (of Kroy Biermann's "tight ass") when Kim Zolciak-Biermann first met her husband of nearly five years at a Dancing Stars of Atlanta charity event when he was a defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons. Six years, four kids, and a contract with the Buffalo Bills later, the Don't Be Tardy couple is now as madly in love as ever as Kroy, now a free agent in the NFL, contemplates his next career move.
2. Meghan King Edmonds and Jim Edmonds
The Real Housewives of Orange County's Meghan King Edmonds hit a home run when she married former St. Louis Cardinals All-Star Jim Edmonds in 2014. Jim retired from the game in 2010, but he has been active in the MLB scene, making appearances at the team's spring training and serving as a member of the FOX Sports Midwest broadcast team. The couple is expecting their first child together, a girl, by the end of this year.
3. Shereé Whitfield and Bob Whitfield
When we first met Shereé Whitfield on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she was not in the best place with her ex-husband, former NFL star, Bob Whitfield, who is best known for his 12 seasons on the Atlanta Falcons. As the series went on, their relationship post-divorce only seemed to get worse. However, Shereé and Bob were looking pretty friendly last season of RHOA as they attended Phaedra Parks' holiday party together.
"Bob and I are working on getting to know each other again. We both have grown a lot and are in a different space than we were when we were married. We are in the process of relearning each other," Shereé told Bravotv.com in March about where things currently stand with her ex. "I can say that we are happy with how things are going and our children are happy. #LifeIsGood for #TheWhitfields." So there you go, boo.
4. Kathryn Edwards and Donnie Edwards
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Kathryn Edwards certainly loves sports. Well, she loves sports stars, at least. Kathryn was married to NFL Hall of Famer Marcus Allen for eight years. She then married former NFL player Donnie Edwards, who used to play for the San Diego Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs, in 2003. These days, you can catch the couple traveling the world and making you jealous with every Instagram pic they post.
5. Larsa Pippen and Scottie Pippen
Larsa Pippen and Scottie Pippen had one of the most enviable marriages of the NBA. The couple wed in 1997, and Scottie was fully supportive of his wife joining the inaugural cast of The Real Housewives of Miami, he told ESPN in 2011. The couple watched one of their children work a New York Fashion Week runway in September. Sadly, the couple separated in October 2016.
6. Jeana Keough and Matt Keough
The Keoughs were a baseball family when we first met them in Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Patriarch Matt Keough had a successful career pitching for the Oakland Athletics. He's also the son of MLB player Marty Keough. We saw Matt and Jeana Keough coach their sons as they tried to join the family business on RHOC. A few years later, Jeana and Matt decided to call it quits.
7. Tanya Bardsley and Phil Bardsley
Lots of footballers and their wives call Cheshire, England home, and that's the case for Tanya Bardsley and her husband Phil Bardsley, who is a defender for the Premier League team Stoke City. This Real Housewives of Cheshire couple tied the knot in 2014, and they just welcomed their fourth child, son Ralphi Bardsley, in August.
8. Jewel Tankard and Ben Tankard
Long before the Thicker Than Water stars became the preacher power couple that they are today, Ben Tankard pursued a career as a pro basketball player in the NBA. Unfortunately, Ben suffered a career-ending injury while in camp with the Portland Trail Blazers. But as they say, everything happens for a reason, and Ben found religion after he left the NBA, he told the Los Angeles Sentinel in 2013, which eventually brought Jewel Tankard into his life. The couple was married in 2000, and now the two are living their "full tank" life.
9. Porsha Williams and Kordell Stewart
Porsha Williams joined the cast of RHOA as a newlywed, having married Kordell Stewart in 2011, who was known for his time as a quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. We witnessed the ups and downs of their relationship on RHOA, from their romance to their challenges on the road to starting a family. Kordell eventually filed for divorce in 2013, but he's still connected to the world of RHOA, having popped up in Season 7 at a Sports One event as one of the investors in Peter Thomas' Atlanta hot spot.
10. Magali Gorré and Dean Gorré
Tanya's RHOCheshire castmate Magali Gorré is also married to a footballer. She and Dean Gorré have been husband and wife for more than 20 years. Their sons Kenji, Quinten, and Aidan are also soccer stars in the making.
11. Robyn Dixon and Juan Dixon
Robyn Dixon and Juan Dixon may possibly be the friendliest exes ever. Though the two divorced after seven years of marriage in 2012, they still lived under one roof when we met the couple last season of The Real Housewives of Potomac. There was even a glimmer of hope that the two could become more than just friends one day. We'll have to wait and see if this fairytale romance becomes a reality once again.
12. Lisa Wu and Ed Hartwell
Lisa Wu helped kick off RHOA as a devoted wife to husband Ed Hartwell, who played for the Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons. Unfortunately, that didn't last as Lisa and Ed decided to call it quits, and their divorce was finalized in 2012. Ed would eventually marry and then file for divorce from Keshia Knight Pulliam within a matter of months earlier this year.
13. Leanne Brown and Wes Brown
14. Cristy Rice and Glen Rice
15. DeShawn Snow and Eric Snow
DeShawn Snow was married to NBA player Eric Snow, who would be at the end of his career on the Cleveland Cavaliers when RHOA premiered. But after 12 years of marriage, DeShawn and Eric decided to divorce in 2010.
16. Charrisse Jackson Jordan and Eddie Jordan
Charrisse Jackson Jordan seemed to have it all when RHOP premiered. She was the wife of former Rutgers' head men's basketball coach Eddie Jordan (he also played in the NBA for the Cavaliers, Nets, Lakers, and Trail Blazers), with whom she had two beautiful children and lived in a gorgeous Potomac, Maryland mansion. However, Charrisse's marriage soon began to crumble during the season, to the point where she told The Daily Dish that she saw divorce in their future after the season had ended in April.
