One of the Below Deck Season 7 Yachties Is on the Way to Becoming a Captain
Find out what the Below Deck Season 7 crew is doing now.
After the intense charter season that Below Deck Season 7 has been, you would think the Valor crew members might take a time out for themselves to rest and recuperate. However, many of them jumped right back into the workforce upon leaving Thailand.
One of those crew members who didn't waste any time getting back to work was Brian de Saint Pern. "After the season, I actually rejoined the boat I left for the season. So I'm currently on that in France now," the deckhand told The Daily Dish backstage at the Below Deck Season 7 reunion (clip above). "We're just doing a shipyard period, fixing up the boat, a lot of maintenance."
Yachting is a career for Brian, so he said he hopes to stay in the industry for as "long as possible." "I want to be a captain one day, so I'm just striving for that," he said.
Brian is actually well on his way to being at the helm of a boat in the future. "I've just come back from Florida. I took four months unpaid study leave. So I've done my OOW [Officer of the Watch] modules," he shared. "I just need to do my oral, and I'll be an officer of the watch, which is one step closer to being a captain."
The Below Deck crew's adventures after Season 7 have taken them all over the world, working in the yachting industry and beyond. Find out what else the Valor yachties have been up to since the end of the charter season in the above video.
