Here's Why Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor Are Putting Their Baby Plans on Pause
The Vanderpump Rules couple has a big year ahead of them... so when are they planning to fit kids in?
At the Vanderpump Rules Season 7 reunion, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor discussed their baby plans, with Brittany expressing that she can't wait to be a mother and Jax teasing that they would start trying on their wedding night. (The two were married on June 29, 2019.) Since then, Brittany gave an update to Us Weekly in November, sharing that while she isn't pregnant, she would like to start a family "ASAP."
Well, it appears the couple has given their procreation plans some thought and decided to pump the brakes for the moment. On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on January 7, the two explained their reasoning.
"We went and started [trying for] one month, and then Stassi [Schroeder] and Lala [Kent]'s weddings and we're in it, so that's a problem," Jax said.
"OK, the short version is that we're trying to make sure that we can make it to Italy for Stassi's wedding and I'm not stuck back home because I'm too pregnant, so we're trying to plan it out," Brittany explained. "But yes, babies: I want babies!"
Stassi and Beau's wedding is slated for this October and Lala and Randall Emmett's wedding is scheduled for April 18, so it will definitely take some finagling to figure out when to squeeze a baby in between the festivities. And while Andy Cohen didn't seem to agree with their logic — "Just get pregnant and don't worry about other people's weddings," he advised — Brittany wants to clarify one thing.
"I don't care to be pregnant; I don't want to be so pregnant where I'm stuck like Phoebe on Friends and can't go to her best friend's wedding," she said.
So, it's still possible we may see a pregnancy announcement this year!
