The Below Deck boss has some more feedback for the chef.

Captain Lee Rosbach Confronts Kevin Dobson About His Clash with the Interior

Below Deck's newest chef, Kevin Dobson, doesn't exactly seem to be hitting it off with the crew so far this season. First, the New Zealand native clashed with Kate Chastain and her interior team. And then when Captain Lee Rosbach confronted Kevin about his interactions with the stews in Monday night's episode (clip above), it kicked off some iciness between the Below Deck boss and the chef.

How to Watch

To make matters worse, Kevin miscounted the number of plates he prepped for the charter guests' dinner and didn't have enough food to serve Captain Lee the main course. "I had seven portions. In my head, I thought I had eight, so I test tried one of them," he told Captain Lee after apologizing for the mistake the next morning.

Captain Lee later commented on Twitter that he wasn't a fan of Kevin's reason for why he didn't get a plate. "We all know how I feel about excuses," he tweeted.

Kevin expressed during the episode that he didn't think it was right for Captain Lee to not look at him as they discussed the dinner. "You don't deserve looking at or acknowledgment for that performance," Captain Lee remarked on Twitter.

After the charter, Kevin said he felt like everyone in the crew got good feedback from Captain Lee except for him. "It feels like the captain's making a point of telling everyone they did a good job apart from me," he said in an interview during the episode. "But, you know, good at being a C, isn't he? And that's not C for captain."

Captain Lee doesn't think Kevin meant that as a compliment. "Did he just call me what I think he called me?" he tweeted.

Captain Lee ended his live tweeting of the episode with some advice for the chef. "Kev, please, don't let your mouth write a check that your ass can't cash," he shared one of his Captain Lee-isms on Twitter.

Kevin seemed determined to prove Captain Lee wrong as he got ready for the next charter on Below Deck. "Captain's comments, I think that's kind of messing with my head. I've never had that reaction by any, any captain in my life," he said in an interview during the episode. "I'm definitely not a quitter, and I don't want to make this my first time quitting, but you know, that was such a bulls--t move. I can just hop off and he can come and cook, no f--king problem."

It looks like Captain Lee will have some more feedback on Kevin's cooking in an all-new episode of Below Deck Monday at 9/8c. Watch a preview, below.
