We Have a Surprising Update on Where Captain Sandy Yawn and Hannah Ferrier Stand Today
The Below Deck Med captain also revealed what she misses about working with Hannah.
Before Captain Sandy Yawn worked with the likes of Katie Flood or Tumi Mhlongo, she had a long-standing working relationship with Hannah Ferrier.
Hannah served as the chief stew on Below Deck Mediterranean for Seasons 1 through 5, and she worked closely with Sandy for four of those seasons.
During their time together, Sandy and Hannah worked well with one another, though they occasionally butted heads.
Sandy then ultimately fired Hannah on Season 5, and it naturally affected the relationship between the two. However, when Sandy appeared on the January 22 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she revealed a surprising update on how she feels about Hannah today.
Captain Sandy Yawn Reflects on Working with Hannah Ferrier
During a round of "The Haunting of the Shady Cucumber" on WWHL, Captain Sandy was asked to reveal what she misses about working with Hannah.
"Hannah, she's great. Hannah was always great," Sandy said about where she stands with the Australian today (which you can check our yourself by watching the video at the top of this post).
She then reflected on their time together on Below Deck Mediterranean.
"She'd come in my cabin, we'd have great conversations," she continued, before mentioning the times when they didn't always see eye-to-eye. "And there was always the challenge, too. So, I miss both."
Sandy also referred to their working dynamic as a "push-pull."
Hannah Ferrier's Life Today After Below Deck Med
Following her time on Below Deck Mediterranean, Hannah welcomed a baby girl named Ava Grace with her then-boyfriend, Josh Roberts.
Hannah and Josh went on to tie the knot in March 2022, and the former chief stew has kept busy with her podcast, her yachting training program, and her life as a mom.
She's also kept in touch with several fellow Below Deck Med alums, including Anastasia Surmava and Aesha Scott, and she's also friendly with Below Deck Down Under's Captain Jason Chambers.
In early January, Hannah looked back on her time on Below Deck Med. In an Instagram post, Hannah shared that the show "changed [her] life," and that she "had some GREAT fun filming."
In a comment underneath the post, a fan asked if Hannah had been in touch with Sandy at all since Season 5 wrapped.
"Nope," she replied.
