Chrissy Teigen Fires Back at Those Who Criticize Her for Choosing Her Baby's Sex
Not everyone is happy that the Bravo superfan chose to carry a female embryo.
One of the things we love most about Chrissy Teigen is that she's down-to-Earth, honest, and never afraid to speak her mind. The model/host/cookbook author has been open about her struggles to conceive and successfully undergoing in vitro fertilization during her pregnancy to her first child with John Legend due this spring.
Chrissy shared even more details about her pregnancy during a recent interview with People. “I’ve made this decision,” she said. “Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.’”
It's not uncommon for a woman to hope to give birth to a little girl, but Chrissy revealed that she actually made the choice with John in mind. “I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me,” she explained. “I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond. A boy will come along. We’ll get there too, so it’s not like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to have a little girl. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa — it’s crazy!”
Chrissy loves how having a daughter changes men. “How soft they get, how mushy, and excited they get. It’s so cute," she said.
Unfortunately, when you do speak your mind, the haters also speak theirs. Since the interview was published Wednesday, Chrissy has been defending her comments on Twitter.
She even used some of that sense of humor we know and love to defend herself.
We're glad to see that a few comments aren't going to bring Chrissy down.
