June Foster Calls Colin Macy-O'Toole a "One of a Kind Gem" After He Offers to Leave Below Deck Med
The Below Deck Med yachtie nearly sacrificed himself after the third stew was let go.
Colin Macy-O'Toole had the whole crew in tears when he told Captain Sandy Yawn that he would leave the Sirocco so that June Foster could stay on to complete the charter season. Though Captain Sandy ultimately did not take Colin up on his deal and stuck with her decision to let June go, the moment couldn't have been more meaningful for the third stew.
June showed her appreciation for Colin's selfless act in her recent Instagram Story. After watching the above preview clip in advance of Monday night's episode, June wrote, "Colin you are such a wonderful, caring and amazing person. I knew it from the beginning and still to the end. I am so lucky to have met you Colin. You are a one of a kind gem in this world."

June got emotional after learning what Colin did during the episode. "Colin, he's just so sweet and selfless," she said in an interview during the episode. "I mean, I would never let Colin leave. I would leave before him."
Colin and June shared a fond farewell as she said goodbye to the crew. The yachties had formed a close bond during the season, and they promised to stay in touch in the future.
Luckily, Colin and June did get the chance to catch up when they appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen together, along with Captain Sandy, in July. Since Below Deck Med, June has also kept busy with some major gigs, including publishing her first novel The Girl and the Golden Leaf and currently sailing around Ischia researching whales and dolphins.
