Craig, Austen, and Whitney Took Social Distancing to the Extreme on St. Patrick's Day
You didn't expect the Southern Charm gentlemen to skip the holiday completely, did you?
Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, and Whitney Sudler-Smith are expert revelers — so of course they found a way to celebrate one of the biggest party days of the year... without having to make direct contact.
The three Southern Charm friends found a way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day together, yet separately, as per the CDC's recommendations to keep a good distance to avoid the coronavirus (COVID-19). Austen shared a photo of the pals sitting 20 feet apart outside, each enjoying some Bourbon at the Isaac Jenkins Mikell House — aka the home of Whitney's mother, Patricia Altschul.
"St. Paddy’s has a different vibe this year," he wrote on Instagram.
He also noted that fans had chastised them for spending time together amid the coronavirus outbreak, and they were taking heed to say safe and healthy: "Rest assured we heard many of your outcries AND death threats, which we for some reason normalize/internalize, and are practicing social distancing."
And there was some signature teasing among friends as well: "[Whitney] was gracious enough to provide us with the Bourbon, which we had to pick up once he placed it down on the ground away from us. SIDE NOTE: The price of the bourbon he supplied increased with every story he told."
Glad to see these guys are keeping their spirits up (with the help of some spirits)!
