So, Here’s How Crystal’s Husband Really Reacted to Her Joining RHOBH

When Crystal Kung Minkoff joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in Season 11, she got nothing but support from her husband of 15 years, Rob Minkoff.

During The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Crystal shared that it was a big adjustment for her to have a dedicated schedule for filming, as she had been used to working on her phone “on the go.”

In the video above, she says that Rob really stepped up for their family while she got used to her new normal.

“He’s literally in the middle of filming Paws of Fury [The Legend of Hank], but he just took it on. He’s like, ‘I got it.’ And he shifted his schedule,” Crystal says about the filmmaker.

The mom of two notes that Rob’s team was working on the animated film on the east coast of Canada, so he was able to wake up and “wrap really early” so he could “pick up the kids” from school (the couple have a son, Max, and a daughter, Zoe).

Earlier in the clip, Crystal explains why Rob isn’t a typical “househusband.”

“He doesn’t care what he looks like,” Crystal says. “He walks downstairs in whatever crappy clothes he’s in.”

As someone in the film industry, Crystal says that Rob has a “very good understanding and respect for production” on RHOBH.

“It’s a totally different vibe with him around…” she continues, before adding that Rob will often ask the people working on production about the kinds of cameras they’re using.

Crystal notes that Rob’s film background (he co-directed The Lion King) is indicative of who he is as a husband and as a father.

“The guy makes family movies. He’s a kid at heart, and he’s very soft and sweet,” she shares. “He’s such a good dad.”
