Crystal Kung Minkoff Shares an Update on Her Brother, Jeffrey Kung’s, Dating Life
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member shared that she is fully “supportive” of his new relationship.
Crystal Kung Minkoff is opening up about her brother, Jeffrey Kung, like never before. On Season 13, Episode 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Crystal shared that she and her sibling have such a strong bond that people mistakenly thought they were twins when they were younger.
Although the brother-and-sister duo remained in sync for much of their lives, they had a falling out in 2020 after Crystal and her mom urged Jeffrey to return to Los Angeles during the height of the pandemic. Ultimately, he made his way back home, and in the process, Jeffrey broke off his engagement to his former fiancé, Vivi, who was living in China.
With that in mind, Jeffrey told Crystal during the Jan. 17 episode that he had forgiven her for the situation, but he’s still “wounded” from it. In a confessional, Crystal shared that she “realized” it’s time to “accept” what her brother wants in his life to avoid them being at odds again.
Moreover, when Crystal got together with her castmate Dorit Kemsley on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, the Real Coco co-founder reflected more on her relationship with Jeffrey, including an update on his dating life.
Crystal Kung Minkoff gives an update on her brother, Jeffrey Kung
“I’ve never in my life felt disconnected to Jeff, but I am now the outsider to what’s happening in my brother’s life,” Crystal said about their dynamics in the video above. She continued to explain what led to their rift before noting they eventually settled things after an “apology” and shedding lots of tears.
Despite Jeffrey and Crystal’s time apart, the latter understood why her brother needed a break, saying, “He needed to have distance from me to really recover from the loss.”
As time heals old wounds, Jeffrey was able to move on from the “tough year” and find love again. “Jeff is with someone else now that he adores,” Crystal told Dorit. Crystal later noted that she will show her brother support in his new relationship and not “say anything,” which will serve as a “lesson” to herself.

"When I say, it’s such a basic life, I know. When I think about that, I’m like, maybe it’s not that basic, but it’s really his life, you know? My brother went to Michigan [for school] and then studied abroad in China, which is what I did. I went to [University of California, Irvine] and then studied abroad," she recalled, "And then he called us one day, and I was still in high school. He’s a year-and-a-half older, and he’s like, 'Oh, I got a record deal.' We’re like, 'For what? You’re going to business school.' And he’s like, 'I don’t know. It happened.' And and then next thing we know, he does a demo, does an album, and wins MTV Best New Artist Asia. And it just didn’t stop from there, and it’s been, god, 20 years now."
Who is Jeffrey Kung's Ex-Fiancé, Vivi?

Crystal Kung Minkoff and Jeffery Kung's, Real Coco, Coconut Water Brand
In addition to Jeffery's pop stardom in China, he co-founded the coconut beverage brand, Real Coco, with his sister Crystal.
The RHOBH 'Wife spoke with The Daily Dish about their company and how they came up with the idea. "But it’s funny. It’s like, even though that all happened, it’s still sort of out of sight, out of mind, because he lives in China and we’re here. That’s his life, and when this opportunity came up [for Real Coco], we started our coconut water company in Asia ‘cause we source everything from Southeast Asia, it just made sense," she said. "So, he ran all the logistics of it, and I helped develop all the products. I create the new products, and it was just sort of a fun project on the side that sort of became a much bigger thing. My brother and I and my best friend, the three of us, we're so close, and so it was such a fun thing to do that keeps us constantly connected."
