We Have a Major Update on Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill's Future Plans
The RHOA couple are opening up about what will happen after they marry.
While Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill are waiting to see whether they will keep their October wedding date in the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, she and her future husband are still making plans. And those plans include trying to decide where they will live once they do wed.
And now that they are spending more time together during their COVID-19 self-quarantine, she offered an update on their future living arrangement to BET.
"And then it’ll pretty much be a bi-coastal relationship because of our jobs. I don't want Mike to quit his job to move to Atlanta and he doesn't want me to quit my job. Because then what? Then we'll be sitting up here in love, but love don’t pay the bills. We're just trying to figure it out," she said. "You know, he's actually had a lot of opportunities in Atlanta as well. So, he actually may end up moving to Atlanta before it’s all said and done. And you know, we’re not a traditional couple."
When The Daily Dish spoke to both Cynthia and Mike earlier this year about their relationship, they confirmed they were still deciding where they might reside once they are married.
"Honestly with our careers, even if we both lived in Atlanta or both lived in L.A., we would not ever see each other every day," Cynthia said. "A lot of our work has us on the road a lot. So we’re kinda used to dealing with the distance. We enjoy being with each other every day if we can, but it’s never really been my reality with anybody I’ve been with because of my career. We are definitely focused on trying to eventually — the end goal is to definitely be under one roof."
Mike mirrored that sentiment while speaking to The Daily Dish about what the future holds for him and The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member.
"I don’t believe in contraction. I believe in expansion when you build, you want to build an empire. So why not keep her home in Atlanta so we can have somewhere to live when when I’m at Atlanta hanging out with my family or whatnot and she’s there?" he said. "She’s working and she's got a lot of stuff that’s out here in L.A. I want to hold on to my home as well because this is where I work. So I think even though we’re going to eventually spend the majority of our time under the same roof somewhere, I don’t think it’s gonna be like she’s gonna put a for sale sign on Lake Bailey anytime soon, I’m not putting a sale sign on my home in Porter Ranch."
Cynthia also opened up more about this hot topic in the RHOA Season 12 After Show, above.
