David Parnes and James Harris Share a Huge Career Milestone: "So Grateful"
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles alums are making some big moves in Los Angeles as they continue to get accolades for their bustling real estate career.
Business partners and real estate agents, David Parnes and James Harris, have been making some major moves since their departure from Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles.
The British-born, Los Angeles transplants have sold multi-million dollar houses and also made a big change when they left working for Mauricio Umansky at The Agency. Earler this week, they shared some big news: they're being named as "Leaders of Influence" for a second time for their work in the real estate field. Both agents took to their respective Instagram accounts, where they shared the good news with their followers.
"We're honored to be recognized as Los Angeles Business Journal 2024 Leaders of Influence for yet another year in a row," they wrote in the caption of the post. "SO grateful as always for the opportunity to contribute to this dynamic and vibrant industry, and very excited for what's to come for the rest of the year!"
The agents were recognized by Los Angeles Business Journal last year as 2023 Leaders of Influence. "The partners' 'no-nonsense' approach to closing deals has lead to a steady incline in sales year over year, with over $2 billion in sales since 2017," their 2023 profile read.
This new honor can be added to David and James' long list of accomplishments, in case their resumés weren't long enough.
James Harris and David Parnes reunited with Josh Flagg on a new business venture
In February 2024, The Hollywood Reporter announced that James and David would be partnering with MDLLA cast member, Josh Flagg, to join his roster of real-estate-focused Estate Media. The company, founded in 2023 by Josh, Griffin O'Brien, and Andrew Shanfeld, "brings together luxury real estate's biggest personalities to deliver you content that entertains and informs."
James and David were brought into Estate Media to develop original content, while the media company oversaw their newsletter and podcast. "Our goal from day one has always been to educate and inspire agents, and now with Estate Media we have more opportunities to do just that," they told The Hollywood Reporter at the time.
Why James Harris and David Parnes left MDLLA
After appearing on MDLLA since Season 7, the business partners revealed that they would be leaving the show after Season 13. They took to their respective Instagram accounts at the time, in April 2022, where they explained that they were ready to move on.
"After 7 amazing seasons, spanning over 9 years, we feel the time has moved on and leave the show, which in many ways, has defined us," the agents wrote. "It's a move that we have thought long and hard about and we feel our business has evolved, we need to keep moving. We thank all our friends wholeheartedly and vow that we won't stop because we can't stop."
