Denise Richards and Husband Uninjured After Being Shot At in Road Rage Incident
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum and Aaron Phypers weren’t harmed, but the vehicle they were driving was reportedly hit by a bullet.
Denise Richards and her husband, Aaron Phypers, were shot at during an apparent road rage incident in Los Angeles on Monday, November 14, but were not injured, according to NBC News.
Per reports, Denise and Aaron were on their way to a film and TV studio in a pickup truck, and when they slowed down to look for street parking, a passing motorist opened fire. A source told People that Denise “was very shaken up and terrified, but she was a trouper and she went and filmed the whole day.”
TMZ, which was first to share the news of the shooting, also reported that Denise arrived on set and worked through the day, while Aaron remained close by. Additionally, police were later called when someone at the studio noticed gunshot damage on the truck Denise and Aaron had been in. It’s unclear whether authorities went to the scene or took a report.
Denise appeared on two seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — sometimes alongside her husband, as the couple said “I do” on the show in 2019 — and today she remains friends with some of her former castmates, including Sutton Stracke. The pair reunited in October, prompting Denise to write on Instagram, “Had a fun lunch with you beautiful Ms. Sutton girl. Glad we caught up. Although I think we could have chatted through their dinner shift.”
The same post also included a shout-out to Garcelle Beauvais: “Well.. let’s do that slumber party with [Garcelle]. That will be fun.”
