Dolores Catania Shared a Major Update on Frank Catania and David Principe's Relationship
The RHONJ cast member also reflected on the time she once "walked in on something" between her ex-husband and current boyfriend.
Bravo Digital’s Megan Segura and Erik J. Mac bring you exclusive interviews from Bravo HQ, featuring Bravolebs plus expert commentary and behind-the-scenes scoop straight from Bravo execs. New episodes are released every Saturday morning, wherever you get your podcasts.
Dolores Catania has two main men in her life: her ex-husband, Frank Catania, and her current boyfriend, David Principe. And although The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member has been able to balance meaningful relationships with both of them, it was clear from the beginning that Frank and David had a budding bromance of their own.
In the RHONJ Season 10 After Show, Dolores joked that Frank and David are “gonna get married,” and in the time that’s passed since then, it appears that the love between the men has only grown stronger. Dolores shared an update on her guys on the February 20 episode of The Daily Dish podcast, which you can listen to, above.
“I have a boyfriend who’s more crazy about my ex-husband than he is about me,” Dolores joked during the podcast. She then went on to explain a peculiar moment she walked in on when Frank was living with David after his leg injury: “I walked in on something one day, I don’t even know what it was. Like, David was hand feeding him sushi. I’m like, his legs are broke.”
Dolores continued to explain how David cared for Frank during his recovery. “He had the alarm set to give Frank his medication through the night,” she explained.
The mom of two also opened up about her relationship with David, and the fact that the couple is not engaged, which is something that she is “more than okay with.”
“Sometimes things happen for a reason, or sometimes things don’t happen for a reason. And I’m perfect fine without it. However, people haven’t been able to really understand that part of it yet, how I’m okay with it,” she said. “People have always tried to define what my relationship would be. Including with Frank Catania, back when people questioned the life we were living as a divorced couple, that we were sending mixed messages to our children. That I had no pride that I would be with him, and go on vacations for him. Well, the proof is in the pudding now. Look at my life with Frank Catania now. Look at my children. They’re happy. They’re thriving. I have a doctor and I have a kid on Wall Street and a very peaceful, happy home.”
