We Have Details on Why Dorinda Medley Is Ready to "Let People See the Whole Cake"
The RHONY alum just unveiled the details of her next project.
Months after it was first teased that Dorinda Medley would be releasing a book, we have all the details on what fans can expect from The Real Housewives of New York City alum's tome when it drops this summer.
Make It Nice will hit bookshelves on August 17 and in a press release, Dorinda teased what will fans flipping the pages. “Television only showed a small slice of my life and I hope the book will let people see the whole cake,” she said in a statement on Wednesday (March 31). “My mother once told me life was like a colorful quilt with many different and interesting pieces and I have always tried to embrace the good times, learn from the challenges and keep moving forward. I love to share and give advice, so hopefully the book will not only be an enjoyable journey for readers but enlighten and inspire them as well.”
The book release was first teased during Season 12 of RHONY. Dorinda exited from the series that same season. "Known for her advice (solicited or otherwise) Dorinda will make it available to all with her new book, 'Making it Nice, Making it Through,'" the update featured in the season read. "She won't be wearing Jovani on the cover."
So, you might now be wondering what she'll be writing about? Well, according to the press release, Dorinda "opens the doors of Blue Stone Manor, her legendary Berkshires sanctuary, welcoming readers into her beloved home and life. In her first-ever book, Medley removes all pretense and noise to reveal the great moments as well as the not-so-glamorous bumps in the road that have marked her colorful journey toward becoming the person she is today... Her journey is a vulnerable and emotional account of love, motherhood, loss and the not-entirely-planned adventure from her modest beginnings in the Berkshires to her personal, social and professional ascent—all in her trademark manner and style."
In addition to the book release, Dorinda is also expected to appear on Season 9 of Million Dollar Listing New York, which premieres on Thursday, May 6 at 9/8c. You can check out the trailer with Dorinda's cameo, above.
