Dorinda Medley has announced her exit from The Real Housewives of New York City. Dorinda joined the RHONY cast in Season 7 and over the course of six seasons she has shared with fans her sassy catchphrases and her emotional journey, right through the current Season 12.
Dorinda confirmed the news of her exit on Instagram on Tuesday (August 25) in an emotional post.
"What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice... But all things must come to an end. This was a great outlet for me to heal when my late husband Richard passed away. I have met so many interesting people and learned so much about myself, about life and about women along the way," she wrote. "Thank you to Bravo and NBC for the incredible ride and to my cast mates for constant stimulation and entertainment. I wish you all health, happiness and success. Clip! Dorinda."
In addition to being open about her ongoing process of healing from the passing of her husband Richard Medley (which occurred prior to her joining the show), she also took fans inside her relationship with John Mahdessian, whom she broke up with this season, as well as her friendships with the New York cast — and all the hilarity and drama that came along with that.
But Dorinda might be best known for her catchphrases which over the course of her time on RHONY have become iconic. They include lines like: "Clip, clip, clip;" "I'll tell you how I'm doing: Not well, b---h!"; and, of course, "I cooked, I decorated, I made it nice;" among others.
