Dr. Simone Whitmore Celebrates Son Michael’s HS Graduation: “Big Things to Come”
The Married to Med doctor shared a glimpse at her son’s socially distanced ceremony.
Dr. Simone Whitmore’s son, Michael, is now officially a college freshman. The Married to Medicine cast member celebrated her son’s recent graduation from high school, taking to social media to share photos of the socially distanced ceremony.
The proud mom captured the milestone moment on Instagram, posting a photo of the graduating class standing six feet apart while lined up on the school’s football field. In the second picture, she and husband, Cecil Whitmore, don face masks while watching the ceremony from the bleachers.
Simone couldn’t help but get emotional over the special day, as she explained in the caption. “Overwhelmed as my baby @michaelwhitmoree is graduating from high school in a year we will NEVER forgot!” she wrote, also adding, “#2020 Big things to come! #familyfirst.”
Cecil also took to Instagram to celebrate his son's latest achievement. "The Graduate!! Scholar Athlete," he wrote in the caption.
As the family confirmed back in April, Michael will be heading off to Tennessee’s Lee University in the fall. The longtime basketball player will continue to pursue his love of the sport with the school’s team, the Lee Flames.
"Congratulations!!! @Michaelwhitmoree stay committed to the Game,” Simone wrote on Instagram at the time. “@leeuniversity here we come!!!"
