Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Potomac kicked off with a bang, as we saw in the July 11 premiere episode. And it's only going to get more explosive as it continues, as evidenced by the trailer for this season, above.

One moment that has really stood out for fans from the drama-filled preview is when Gizelle Bryant tells Ashley Darby, "So when are we gonna talk about the Eddie rumors?" Here, Gizelle appears to be referring to some gossip surrounding Dr. Wendy Osefo's husband, Eddie Osefo.

Wendy addressed this moment from the teaser during a recent interview with ET. "I am not immune to the fact that we are public figures, right? This is not a 'woe is me' conversation. When you're a public figure, people go and talk about you," she said. "People go and lie about you, and it is what it is. And I'm OK with that. I know what I signed up for. But there is, for me, a level of expectation that I felt we have within our circle. Especially when it's a salacious blog that has also spread vicious rumors about her and her family."

She went on to say that she felt like Gizelle was "repeating a lie." "I'm not mad at it because we know our truth. And I'm confident in my marriage. It doesn't matter," Wendy explained. "But in the same token, you have a level of expectation from your friends and you don't think that your friends will ever give life to a lie. If anything, they will quell it because they're your friends."

When it comes to Wendy's life, you can talk about anything but "the Osefo crew," according to the professor. "I don't play. And I say that very clear, to not play with my husband's name. Let the other people do that, the blogs, because that's what they're paid to do, but don't you do that," she said. "And I think that this group quickly learned that I have what I call my sacred four, that's my husband and my three kids. Talk about my wigs, my clothes, anything you want to, chile. Just talk about me, but don't talk about a man who is not just a good husband but a good father. And his only crime is supporting me to be on this platform."

Gizelle shared her take on the situation during an interview with E! News earlier this month. "There were Eddie rumors on social media, and typically if things are out there, we talk about it," she said. "In Potomac we talk about it. We don't hide anything."

It looks like things will come to a head between Wendy and Gizelle later on this season of RHOP, according to the Season 6 trailer. "What you're not going to do is you're not going to play with my husband's name," Wendy appears to direct toward Gizelle during a heated moment. "I see you for everything that everybody ever said that you were."

Wendy teased the upcoming moment during her interview with ET, sharing that it felt like the "wool has been pulled off of my eyes" in that instance. "Like, I know who you are. I've called your card," she said. "And I will deal with you based on the card I have read you to be."

Gizelle also commented on the forthcoming drama with Wendy to E! News. "I would be curious to see how the season plays out and how Wendy feels about the season as she views it," she shared. "I want Wendy to be a viewer this season, because I think she was thinking a lot of things happened that didn't."

As for the man at the center of this conflict, Eddie is "not fazed by any of this," according to Wendy. "Eddie's so good. Eddie's only concern was, are you OK baby? That's all he cared about," Wendy told ET, adding that Eddie "has really been a rock." "We're going on 10 years of marriage, I didn't think I could love him more. But just how he has been like, ‘Don't worry about it. Leave this alone.’ Like, ‘It doesn't matter,’ and just been such a gentleman. Because there were times where I wanted to get dirty and just attack back, and Eddie said, ‘Don't do that. You're better than that.’ And that shows me the type of man I married."

Eddie previously had a message for "the haters" while shouting out his wife in honor of Mother's Day this year. "10 years and counting with our forever love," Eddie wrote about Wendy on Instagram on May 9. "I’m so proud to be your husband and even prouder of the mother and role model you are to our children."

The RHOP hubby also called Wendy "perfection personified" following the Season 6 premiere. "What I love, and actually am the MOST proud of is that she actually did something for herself. Being a mom is super hard, but being a working mom seems damn near impossible from my vantage point. The toll on your body, the mommy guilt, etc.," Eddie shared in a post on Instagram on July 11 after Wendy showed off her new look in the episode. "So, salute to all of the working moms out there who pour into THEMSELVES as much as they pour into their children."

Wendy also sent a "special thank you to my love," Eddie, after the RHOP Season 6 premiere aired: "You’re always by my side through it all and I’m forever grateful."

As far as what we can expect from the rest of this season of RHOP, Wendy guaranteed on Twitter that it's "going to be so spicy!!!"
