Get Reacquainted with the Other Yachtie Returning Alongside Aesha on Below Deck Med
A third familiar face is headed to Athens, Greece for Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 with Captain Sandy leading the team.
This June, Below Deck Mediterranean will set sail in Athens, Greece for Season 9, and longtime captain Sandy Yawn is set to welcome back two familiar faces to the crew.
Fans will know Aesha Scott from her stint as the chief stew on both seasons of Below Deck Down Under, and Below Deck Med fans will remember when she got her start on Bravo as a stew on Seasons 5 and 6. Now, on Season 9, Aesha is returning to her Med roots to become Sandy's chief stew.
Aesha isn't the only returning face from a prior Below Deck Med season. Elena Dubaich, who filled in for Kyle Viljoen when he hurt his ankle on Season 7, is also back.

Elena Dubaich Previously Appeared on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7
Unlike fellow returners Sandy and Aesha, Elena was only previously on Below Deck Mediterranean for one charter. After Kyle, one of the second stews on Season 7, hurt his ankle, Sandy hired Elena to help out the interior crew for the final charter of the season.
During her brief time on board motor yacht Home, Elena made a strong impression on the crew. Elena appeared on Episodes 18 and 19 of Season 7, and she popped up during the reunion as well.

Everything to Know About Below Deck Mediterranean's Elena Dubaich
Find out what Elena shared in her official Bravo Q&A below!
Hometown: Škofja Loka, Slovenia
Birth Date: July 5
Zodiac Sign: Cancer
Years of Experience in the Yachting Industry: 8
Favorite off-boat activities: "Weightlifting and gaining back the muscle mass I normally lose during a charter season."
Special Skills: "I’m a massage therapist, personal trainer and yoga instructor. I love teaching guided meditations (Yoga Nidra)."
What is your wildest charter guest story from your career? "I was invited by the yacht owner to go on my first helicopter ride overlooking the British Virgin Islands. I felt incredibly blessed in that moment."
Favorite place you’ve been on charter/place you traveled? "The coolest place I’ve been to on a yacht was Cuba. Greenland, Patagonia and the Amazon River have also really stood out to me. As far as my own travels, I’ve really enjoyed Taiwan."
What’s one thing about working and living on a boat that would surprise people? "How hard it is to stop yachting and get used to 'regular life.' It’s an addictive lifestyle as there’s few things to worry about – accommodation, food, laundry – as it’s all taken care of. Leaving that behind and coming back to regular life is a very hard transition for most of us."
