How Does Emily Simpson's Husband Shane Simpson Stack up Against Other RHOC Husbands?
The Orange County 'Wife confirms what she's heard fans say about her husband and if he cares at all.
Emily Simpson's husband, Shane Simpson, is the talk of the town and a hot topic among The Real Housewives of Orange County fans. He's certainly had viewers buzzing this season as he seems to be more distant from his wife as he was studying for the bar exam in the midst of filming Season 12, which caused tension in their marriage. His sarcastic attitude and behavior to Emily also has certain folks comparing him to some unfavorable RHOC husbands from days past, as Andy Cohen noted on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday (October 8).
"I think he's compared to anyone that people hate, so I mean, it is what it is," Emily said in the Clubhouse, before she offered up an explanation for why she thinks he acts the way he does on the show. "Well I feel like he doesn't really want to film, but instead of rising to the occasion I feel like he's like a petulant child that throws a tantrum."
As for how he feels about the criticism he receives from fans of the show, well, that doesn't seem to be much of an issue for him. When asked if it bothers him, Emily very quickly responded with, "Not at all."
When Emily stopped by The Daily Dish offices this season, she opened up even more about what's next for Shane after he failed the bar exam earlier this year. They are now awaiting the results of the bar exam he took in July.
"So I had the kids all summer, and he was studying for the bar exam," Emily said. "But we get the results in November. I'm not sure of the date. He probably knows. He's not gonna tell me [laughs]."
