Erika Jayne Reveals New Details About Her First Husband at BravoCon 2023
The RHOBH cast member didn't hold back during her BravoCon 2023 Day 3 panel.
Bravo fans embraced their inner "Pretty Mess" during the "Pat the Puss with Erika Jayne" panel at BravoCon 2023 on Nov. 5, but beyond watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member and her Creative Director Mikey Minden break down her signature moves, attendees also learned quite a bit about Erika's personal life and career.
To find out what she shared about her first marriage and more, keep reading.
Erika Jayne's First Husband and His Career
Panel moderator X Mayo noted that Erika's music career catapulted her into becoming "a facet of the gay club circuit," and while explaining how she was able to find her audience, Erika revealed a little known fact about her first husband, Thomas Zizzo (whom she shares her son, Tommy, with).
"I always made dance music. My first husband was a DJ [and] we met at the club," Erika explained. "I grew up in a dance studio, I grew up in musical theater, and I made the music that I wanted to make that I wanted to dance to, and it just so happened that it resonated with the LGBTQ community. And I'm very grateful for that and that's always where I stay because that's what I like to do."
Erika Jayne's Connection to Kim Zolciak
Unbeknownst to her until today, Erika once opened for The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak at a since-shuttered bar called Splash in New York City. A flier advertising the gig and Kim "performing her new hit single" — aka "Don't Be Tardy for the Party" — appeared on-screen at the panel. Erika's portion of the poster, meanwhile, read, "Special opening performance by Erika Jayne, performing songs from her new album Pretty Mess."
"Wait a minute!" a shocked Erika said before noting that she "didn't see" Kim from what she could recall. "I just remember that Splash was a bar that was so much fun and there was a drain — a shower drain, because it was called Splash and they used to have water splashing on everybody there — and you had to watch out where you were going because you had to dodge the drain on stage."
Erika Jayne and Her Son Lived in New York City
That's actually not all Erika remembered about Splash. What's more, "It was located down the street from my son's school," she revealed of Tommy. "So, he would walk by and see posters of his mom performing at a bar like a block-and-a-half away from his school."
"He was, like, in middle school at the time," Erika added. "Beyond mortified. I think he still is, but we've worked it out."
What's Next for Erika Jayne After Her Las Vegas Residency
An audience member asked Erika what's next for her career seeing as how her Las Vegas residency, Bet It All on Blonde — which is coming to Bravo next spring in the form of a two-part documentary — wraps in December.
Responded Erika, "I have no idea. Once we got the show up, I looked at everybody and I was like, 'I need a new mountain to climb.'"
Mikey, however, had a different answer. "We’re going to go back on tour, is what we’re going to do. Right?"
Erika admitted she "love[s] a tour," and Mikey added, "Come on! We gotta take Bet It All on Blonde all over the US and internationally."
Elsewhere in the panel, the duo revealed that Erika also has a new music video coming out "very soon."
"[It's] called 'Bounce,'" Erika shared. "It's a good one. If you've seen the show, you've seen it in there. It's really good. I like it a lot."
Erika Jayne's Dating Life
Put simply, Erika is focused on herself for the moment.
A panel audience member inquired about her "dating roster" and whether or not fans "know" anybody on said roster, but she replied, "You don't know anybody that's on my dating roster, and I have don't have one right now, so."
