Marlo Hampton Claps Back at Those Who Think She Was "Messy" with the Rumors About Eva Marcille's Finances
"I stated what the streets [were] saying," The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Marlo Hampton said.
It's never easy being the messenger, and Marlo Hampton knows that all too well after Sunday night's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Marlo got the tea about some rumors regarding Eva Marcille's finances, and she promptly spilled it while having a girls' night in with Nene Leakes and Tanya Sam. And when the info made its way back to Eva at the celebration for Kandi Burruss' second OLG location, well, let's just say the RHOA model was having none. Of. It.
It sounds like the haters came for Marlo for sharing these rumors about Eva following the episode's airing on March 24, and she was more than ready to clap back. "So because I bring info to the group I’m messy, unhappy [and] jealous, PLEASE! I stated what the streets [were] saying, just like these girls have done to me for the last 6 years, however this tea came with RECEIPTS, so why would I not bring it to her [Eva's] Big Sis [Nene] who could let her know her business was being spread by her supposed best friends [and] bridesmaids," Marlo wrote on Instagram in a post published on March 24. "Even some of her so called new friends were giggling when they heard the tea, but [were] so concerned when spilling it to her."
Marlo went on to proudly proclaim that she is "a #FactStater." "I say what they’re thinking and do what I want," she said. "Is my delivery the best, No, I’m working on that, but it’s always truthful [and] without malice."
In the Instagram post, Marlo also set the record straight on some other rumors she's long heard about herself, such as her love life and how she makes a living. "Having a husband [and] family is important to me, but I grew up without a father and half of a mother, I know how to survive. I take care of me, I’ve survived this far [and] doing damn good," she shared. "I’ll take that step, when the time is right, for the right reasons."
Nene and Peter Thomas both praised Marlo's response to her critics, writing "FACTS!!!!" and "WOW!!!! Love this," in the comments to her Instagram post, respectively.
Marlo also shared what appears to be a prayer for the type of life she'd like to live going forward in her Instagram Story. "Lord please keep ALL fake friends AWAY from me and please let me continue to Speak the Truth for the rest of my life and report what the streets say (in my Mama Joyce voice) because the streets raised me and my life is an open book," she wrote.
If you thought all of the tea Marlo spilled about Eva was piping hot, she revealed even more of what she's heard during The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11 After Show. "I really did do detective work," Marlo said. "What you do in the public is public information."
