Jeff Lewis Says One of His Former Employees Is Now Working for Gage Edward
The Flipping Out designer also shared an update on his relationship with Scott Anderson.
As Jeff Lewis and Gage Edward's personal lives continue to be contentious amid their custody battle over soon-to-be-4-year-old daughter Monroe, the former Flipping Out couple is now experiencing some professional drama.
Jeff opened up on his SiriusXM show earlier this week about a situation with one of his former employees. "We had an employee who was like, I kind of considered her like family. I sensed that there was some disloyalty. I had her sign a non-disclosure. I actually had talked to her a few times about it," he shared in the September 21 episode of Jeff Lewis Live. "I think all along she was talking to Gage, giving him personal information."
Jeff said that this was someone both he and his on-again, off-again boyfriend Scott Anderson had become close to. "Both Scott and I really cared about her. She was like family. We both opened up to her," he shared. "So, I had to let her go."
He then claimed that this employee is now working with Gage, who started his own business after leaving Jeff Lewis Design following the couple's split in 2019. "Of course, she is now working for Gage, which all that tells me now is I instinctively, intuitively knew what was going on," Jeff alleged.
Jeff also shared on his radio show that he has been trying to work on his relationship with Scott. The two have been on-and-off since they began dating in the spring of 2019. However, the continued drama with Gage and now the stress of what happened with this former employee have put a strain on their relationship once again. "Scott is very upset by this, and this kind of sent him over the edge," Jeff recalled. "I said, 'Look, you have to look at this in a positive way. I instinctively knew there was a problem. I felt it.' And I said, 'And look, I was right. And she's out of our house.'"
He told his radio co-hosts, "Do you understand why this guy's like, 'I'm out?'"
Jeff said he is committed to put in the work to get his relationship with Scott back on track. "The other thing I said to him too is I am going to make a conscious effort to take us away from this, so distract us from these issues, not speak about them, and make it about us and have quality time and all that," Jeff explained. "So that's where we're at."
But Jeff has also given some thought to "a contingency plan," as his radio co-host Megan Weaver put it in the September 23 episode of Jeff Lewis Live. "There is a possibility that I'm gonna have to go out and start dating if it doesn't work out with Scott Anderson," Jeff said.
Jeff and his radio co-hosts then talked a little bit about his dating app profile and what he should not include in his photo — namely, his cats. The Flipping Out designer followed up that conversation by joking that the below Instagram Story would be his new dating app profile pic, and honestly, we think he should seriously consider it.
