Gail Simmons: My Daughter Is Such an Adventurous Eater

The 'Top Chef' judge breaks down some of Dahlia Rae's favorite foods.

Like mother, like daughter!

Turns out Top Chef judge Gail Simmons' daughter Dahlia Rae Abrams, 1, is "an adventurous eater," which is probably a plus for her foodie mom.

"My baby eats everything," Gail tells People. And she means everything.

"She's such an adventurous eater," she said. "We took her to New Orleans last weekend and she ate fried chicken and crawfish."

Turns out little Dahlia Rae also really likes green foods as well. "She's obsessed with veggies," Gail shared. "She eats all the veggies she can get down her throat. I really, really hope it sticks."

Vegetables are a hot commodity around the Simmons-Abrams household. "I'm just starting to cook some asparagus, the kind of stuff you really miss. It's been such a long winter," Gail said about her own current food cravings. "But it's almost spring! We're so close."

Gail has been gushing about her little girl since welcoming her in December 2013. In a blog last year she shared that "everything's different but better" since becoming a mom.

"I am definitely not the same person I was nine months ago," she added, later noting, "But the fact that the person I have become, and the reasons for these changes, are due to one small, delicious, and wondrous little person who I get to care for every day, makes me realize how privileged I am to have gone through these changes in the first place. And I know through it all I've turned into a stronger, better me."
