Garcelle Reflects on Her Drama with Dorit and the "One Thing That Will Not Happen Again"
Garcelle Beauvais also shared how she feels about Kyle Richards today following their past conflict on RHOBH.
Before Garcelle Beauvais hashed out her issues with Lisa Rinna during Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, which aired on October 13, she and Dorit Kemsley addressed their drama this season, particularly when things got heated between them at the Rinna Beauty launch party.
Dorit apologized to Garcelle for saying that she was "like a bully" at that event. "In that moment, I used a word that I shouldn't have used, and it was wrong," Dorit told Garcelle at the reunion, later adding, "I will own all day long that I choose words poorly. I wish I could take it back and it wasn't the right word, and I'm very sorry for that."
When Garcelle appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on October 13, singer, actress, and comedian Jessie Woo appeared in the virtual audience to ask the Beverly Hills Housewife about Dorit's comment. "It really bothered me," Garcelle said. "I just thought it wasn't right. I wasn't OK with it."
When Andy noted, "I will say before I had a chance to read any of my mean tweets to Dorit about it, she wanted to apologize to you at the beginning," Garcelle said in response, "Good. She should've."
Garcelle added that she felt like Dorit has more to say sorry for. "And she should also apologize for yelling at me," Garcelle said on WWHL. "One thing that will not happen again: She will never yell at me again."
Dorit previously showed remorse for her past interaction with Garcelle during her appearance on WWHL last week. "I used the wrong word, and I acknowledged this at the reunion. And I really wish I hadn't because I think everything I said after that was just lost," she said. "And I apologized to Garcelle for it."
Garcelle and Dorit seemed to end things in a good place during Part 1 of the RHOBH reunion. And who knows? Perhaps they could forge an even greater bond in the future, just like Garcelle and Kyle Richards did following the Season 10 reunion.
Andy Cohen remarked on Garcelle and Kyle's resolution at the beginning of RHOBH Season 11 during the October 13 WWHL After Show (clip below). "What I thought was so cool was at the very beginning of the season, you and Kyle sitting down. You had such a real conversation about serious s--t, by the way," he said to Garcelle. "And it was, like, over after the conversation. And you saw that she got it and she heard you, and you heard her. It made me so happy to see."
Garcelle agreed with Andy's assessment. "Me too. I think the best part of that is that she was willing to listen and learn, which was great," she shared. "And so, from then on, we could move on. We didn't have to harp on it."
Andy then asked Garcelle if she felt like she "got to kind of enjoy her as a person as a result." "She is funny as hell," Garcelle said of Kyle. "I enjoy her a lot. And I enjoy Mau [Kyle's husband], too."
