Gina Kirschenheiter Reveals Where She Stands in Her Friendship with Emily Simpson
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member made her feelings clear in a recent Instagram post.
When Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson joined The Real Housewives of Orange County in Season 13, it was love at first sight — or at the first mention of tacos (more on that later). Since then, the ladies have racked up four tempestuous seasons of RHOC. And like all friendships, theirs has had its ups and downs over the years.
But if you’re wondering where the Orange County pals stand today, you’re in luck: Gina just shared an Instagram post that makes the current state of her friendship with Emily crystal clear.
Gina shares an update on her friendship with Emily
In her July 3 post, Gina shared several pictures of a summery outing she had with Emily and a few small guests. The two mamas took their kids (six of them!) to the pool, and it looks like a swimmingly good time was had by all.
In the photos, the kids are grinning, snacking, and staying dry with bright beach towels. The kid-friendly outing also seemed to involve a Hula-Hoop. The mamas are smiling too, with their heads bent together for a selfie in sunglasses. In her caption, Gina shared a pointed message for her BFF.
“So much fun today with [you] friend!” she wrote. “Love summer days herding cats! [Emily Simpson] love you!!” Referring to a photo of her son having a little pool deck picnic with Emily’s daughter, Gina added: “Annabelle and Nicky. Dying…”
Emily hopped into the comments to respond. “Love you and I love that no one cried or fought the whole day,” she wrote. Take a peek at the outing in the photos below.
When Gina Met Emily
Now about that taco. In the clip above, Gina and Emily sit with other Bravo BFFs to answer some questions at BravoCon 2022.
When host Kate Chastain asks the pair when they knew they’d be friends, they both confirmed that it was BFF-hood at first sight.
“I think it was pretty soon, because we both came on Season 13 together, and if you think about the cast on Season 13, that was a difficult cast to integrate into,” Emily says. “So I feel like Gina and I really, like…” Gina finishes for her: “We clung to each other!”
Gina adds: “The first time I met her it was working out, and post-workout she was like, ‘I would rather be eating snacks than work out.’ And I was like, ‘I think I just met my new best friend!’” Emily added: “I was like why are we not drinking margaritas and eating tacos? Why are we doing this?”
