Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce Returns This January: Get Your First Look at the Sexy New Season
#GG2D is back and more fabulous than ever this winter.
If you thought Abby, Delia, Jo, and Phoebe were ready for new beginnings before, just wait until you see Season 3 of Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, premiering Wednesday, January 11 at 10/9c. After an emotional and shocking Season 2 finale, your best girlfriends are back this winter to tackle everything from break-ups and babies to... baseball?
Season 2 ended with Abby's (Lisa Edelstein) world seeming to come crumbling down once again, and we have to admit that she's not in such a great place when Season 3 kicks off. After getting fired from her job, Abby finds herself needing to revamp her image and her love life, both of which she'll give valiant efforts at turning around by pursuing a new career as a romance novelist and starting a fling with her son's baseball coach, Mike (James Lesure). Of course, having to take care of Becca's (Julianna Guill) baby while she's still M.I.A. and having to deal with her own life change of menopause isn't going to make anything easy. Sure, Abby and her ex-husband, Jake (Paul Adelstein), seem to be on better terms than ever this season, but could a new job opportunity elsewhere tear down all of the goodwill they've been able to build up?
Abby's besties haven't found their happily ever afters yet, either. After being left at the altar last season, Delia (Necar Zadegan) is looking for a fresh start and focusing on her career, but the question of whether or not she's meant to get married at all still lingers. Meanwhile, things seem to be going swimmingly for Jo (Alanna Ubach) in the love department — that is, if you call continuing her affair with her sex addict head baker, Scott (Will Kemp), a success. Though Phoebe (Beau Garrett) may be a newlywed, she's not exactly living in wedded bliss with her groom, J.D. (Aaron Staton). But will her new friendship with billionaire Gemma (Daisy Betts) help her forget about her troubles, or cause more?
At least Barbara (Retta) seems to be living her best life. Not only does she snag a new role at SheShe, but she also decides to treat herself to a new kitchen renovation. And her contractor, Darrell (Malcolm-Jamal Warner), may just give her the kitchen and man of her dreams.
Along the way, we'll see all of the fabulous fashion, funny quips, devastating drama, and heartwarming moments we know and love from GG2D. Be sure to tune in on Wednesday, January 11 at 10/9c to see how it all goes down. Until then, catch up on last season with this memorable moment, below.
