Gizelle Bryant is getting cozier with her new beau (affectionately labeled “man-friend” by producers), Winter House’s Jason Cameron, on the Season 8 premiere of The Real Housewives Of Potomac.

Jason cooked for Gizelle in the kitchen of “Hotel Gizelle,” something that appears to happen regularly, creating a meal of sushi and scallops. Gizelle gave viewers the scoop on dating a man sixteen years younger than herself, plus her daughters Grace and Angel weighed in on the relationship and meeting their mom's new boyfriend.

How did Gizelle and Jason meet?

Gizelle first confirmed she went on a date with Jason in January 2023. Of their age difference, Gizelle said on the premiere, “No one’s counting!”

“Mama’s gotta live, you know?” Gizelle said in her confessional. “Mama’s been mama for a long time, but I gotta live, I got to do my thing. And I did run up on this guy named Jason. And he’s a young, hot thing. A little tenderoni.”

Gizelle said she met Jason through Potomac housewife Ashley Darby, who was dating Luke Gulbranson at the time. Luke and Jason were castmates together on Winter House.

“Gizelle said, ‘What’s the deal with Jason?’” Ashley said during the RHOP Season 7 reunion. “And I texted Luke. Then Luke texted Jason and said, ‘Hey, Gizelle is interested.’”

Gizelle hinted things are still hot and heavy between her and Jason during her confessional.

“For whatever reason, Jason and I definitely just clicked,” Gizelle said on the premiere. “He has been keeping me quite occupied. And ‘The West Wing’ [Gizelle’s bedroom] is seeing some things it hasn’t seen in a while.”

How Gizelle's Daughters Feel About Jason

Gizelle shared that Jason already met her daughters during the Jan. 13, 2023 episode of Page Six’s Reali-Tea podcast. She shared more details during the RHOP premiere, revealing how his first meeting with her daughters went.

“I invited Jason to my live show in New York of [my] Reasonably Shady [podcast with Robyn Dixon],” Gizelle said. “Of course, the girls were there helping me. Grace peeped him peeping me. And she was like, ‘Mommy, who is he? You’re not slick.’ And I was like, ‘Oh that’s my friend, his name’s Jason.' ‘G’ just was like, ‘Is he my brother? How old is he?’”

An 18-year-old Grace admitted it wasn’t the greatest meeting.

“I was kinda on edge because I didn’t really know him,” Grace said in her confessional. “And this random guy’s just following us around. Like, I just was confused.”

As to her first impression of Jason, Grace exchanged a look with Gizelle, who admitted that Grace is a tough nut to crack.

“Grace is somebody who is going to not give you an ‘A’ in the beginning,” Gizelle said. “You gotta work your way to an ‘A.’”

But now, months later, Jason appears to have won the girls over.

“He worked his way for sure,” Grace said, adding Jason is now “maybe [an] A minus.”

During the premiere, Gizelle’s 17-year-old daughter Angel stepped into the kitchen to help roll the sushi. But as she tried to eat, she was embarrassed by her mother’s antics with Jason.

“I was going to ask if you wanted me to feed one to you,” Gizelle said to Jason, prompting Angel to reply, “Please don’t. Please don’t. There’s a child present.”

As Gizelle ignored Angel and put sushi in Jason’s mouth, Angel covered her face and said “disgusting” while making vomiting sounds.

Gizelle and Jason lead busy lives and joked in the premiere that it’s been a while since they saw each other.

“Jason, with his cute self, lives all the way up in New York, and I live down here in the Potomac area so we try to see each other as much as we can,” Gizelle said in her confessional. “It’s hard. I think we manage it like every other week or so. Either I’m going there, or he’s coming to see me. And it’s nice, you know, because I don’t like somebody in my face all the time, so it’s perfect.”

The couple spent Valentine’s Day together after attending the Summer House Season 7 premiere party. Jason was also spotted at Gizelle’s 53rd birthday celebration on Sept. 9, when Ashley posted a video on Instagram of the festivities. A few days later, Gizelle sent Jason 37th birthday wishes with a post on her Instagram stories.

During the RHOP Season 8 premiere, Gizelle and Jason appeared very playful and loving in the kitchen as Gizelle danced for Jason, and even gave his bottom a little smack.

Although the pair haven’t shared any recent updates on their relationship status, Jason confirmed on Oct. 12 on Instagram that he was planning to attend BravoCon on Nov. 3, 4 and 5, and Gizelle left heart-eyes and flame emojis in the comments of the post.
