Ashley Darby Explains Why She and Luke Gulbranson Are “Not Romantically Involved Anymore”
The Real Housewives of Potomac ’Wife set the record straight on their relationship and why she unfollowed Luke.
Ashley Darby and Luke Gulbranson are no more.
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member revealed the news during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on January 8. “Luke and I are not romantically involved anymore,” Ashley said. “My life is very complicated, as you guys can imagine.”
Referencing her ongoing divorce from Michael Darby, she continued, “I’m going through a very difficult situation. And Luke was a trouper — believe me, he went through some things.”
Andy then asked if Michael’s “not being thrilled about the relationship” played a factor in her and Luke’s split, to which she responded, “That, and I mean it’s not really about Luke. We just have a hard time period with co-parenting and separating.”
And while her “situation” with her ex unfortunately “affected Luke and I,” Ashley is not dwelling on what could’ve been and instead expressed her gratitude for her time with the Summer House cast member. “I met his whole family. They were amazing, I fell in love with them. It was so great,” she recalled. “But, you know, I am newly single. This is my first relationship after… it’s just nice to be reminded I am that girl. And I love to love and I love to be in love. Give me all the love!”
Fans began speculating that Ashley and Luke had split after she deleted a recent photo of the two and unfollowed him. Andy addressed this on WWHL, asking, “You deleted the picture with Luke, but the two of you are still friendly?”
“We’re friendly,” Ashley responded, much to Andy’s confusion. As he put it, “I don’t understand why you deleted the picture and you don’t follow him and yet you’re amicable.”
Her reasoning? “I like to sort of put the period on things,” Ashley said. “It’s a period, pooh. Done. So, that’s why I did that.”
