When moving day arrived for Grace, Gizelle opened up about what it was like to raise her three daughters as a single mother (she split from Jamal Bryant in 2009).
"I've been raising my daughters as a single mother since they were one or two years old," she said in an interview on the episode. "I always thought college and them leaving seemed so far off. It is here, and it is slapping me in the face, and I don't like it."
"It's just been us for, like, forever," Gizelle says to Grace in a joint interview on the episode. "And it's gonna be sad, I don't want to do it."

"You raising me has shown me that anything is possible. Like, you could have kids, you could do your own hustle and still be good, so," Grace said.
"That's great that you learned that from your mom," a RHOP producer responded, and Gizelle agreed from backstage.
"That's amazing," she said. "I love that. Thank you."
"You know, they are my joy, they are my peace, they are the reason why I do everything I do," Gizelle added. "I don't know, it's just going to be different."
Though Gizelle said on the episode that she was "in denial" about her daughter's departure, she revealed during an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in March 2024 that Grace is "thriving" at school.
