The Real Housewives of Orange County alums, who are welcoming their first child together, a girl, in July, revealed their baby's name exclusively to Access: Skylar Gray.

The moniker pays tribute to Slade's son from a previous relationship, Grayson, who is still fighting a battle with brain cancer after being diagnosed in 2006. Slade also has another son, Gavin, who is engaged.

“[Grayson] has been this angel on earth, and he is just this unbreakable, amazing, little man,” Gretchen told Access.

It has been a long road to parenthood for Gretchen and Slade. The couple started IVF four years ago but lost 14 embryos after the first round. Slade also underwent a reverse vasectomy. After an embryo was able to be implanted, the couple announced the pregnancy in December and revealed that they would be welcoming a baby girl during an epic gender reveal party in February.

Gretchen also revealed to Access that their daughter is already a fighter. She shared, “What a lot of people don’t know about our embryo, and now our Skylar Gray, is that she actually self-corrected herself in the embryonic state. She went from two cells to five cells, and normally when it goes from two to five cells it’s not a genetically sound embryo … but she literally pushed that cell aside and went back to four and self-corrected herself.”
