Why Did Hannah Leave Summer House? See What the Alum Is Up to Today

Hannah departed Summer House following the conclusion of Season 5 in 2021 in order to focus on her career as a comedian. At the time, Hannah stated, "This past year has been one of the most important in my life for self reflection, love, and learning a lot of sh-t. I’ve welcomed new career ventures, challenges and obstacles, and opportunities for growth. As we climb out of the emotional trenches of 2020, I look forward to an exciting summer, but with mixed emotions I’m announcing I won’t be spending it living in the summer house.”

She continued, "These last three summers have truly been a whirlwind and the show has, without a doubt, changed my life and I will forever be thankful for the platform it has provided me. Making people laugh is what brings me joy and I am so excited to announce that I will spending this summer touring my standup and telling fart jokes at comedy clubs and theaters near you."

Hannah is currently on a nationwide stand-up comedy tour. One of her recent shows was taped in Philadelphia and is set to be distributed as her first comedy special for Netflix.

Yes. In addition to keeping busy with her comedy career, Hannah also hosts two podcasts: Berner Phone and Giggly Squad, the latter of which is co-hosted by Paige DeSorbo. 

Hannah married fellow comedian Des Bishop in May 2022 after two years of dating.

As stated, Des is also a comedian. As for her and Des' dynamic, Hannah said what makes their relationship "fun" is the constant laughter. "We’re always trying to find, [like], ‘Where’s the joke? How can we take life a little less seriously?’ And as long as we’re laughing, we’re happy," she previously told Us Weekly. "So that’s my biggest advice definitely for marriage: ‘Don’t take it too seriously.’”
