How Did Craig Conover Meet His Girlfriend Naomie Olindo?

Let's just say it wasn't love at first sight for this #SouthernCharm couple.

By Laura Rosenfeld

Things may be getting serious between Craig Conover and his girlfriend Naomie Olindo these days, but it definitely wasn't love at first sight for this Southern Charm couple. Well, on Naomie's part, at least.

How to Watch

Watch Southern Charm on Bravo Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

"I remember the first time I saw her, she became everything in my head, but she wouldn't give me a chance. She wouldn't talk to me," Craig told The Daily Dish. "[She] was the only girl I would put any effort into, like I would go out of my way to go over to her table or walk across the bar or whatever, the club, and try and talk to her. She would just look at me and look back at her phone and keep texting. I was like, 'Oh my God!'"

Craig said he first "fell for Naomie" when they were both students at the College of Charleston (he was a senior, and she was a freshman at the time). "I knew with Naomie that if there was ever any girl I was going to date, it was going to be her, but she would never give me the chance, and I knew that was because she didn't know the real me," he said. "She just saw this figure out at the bars. It was all a facade."

Craig said that he knew he and Naomie would start a romance if she just got to know him, and she finally gave Craig the opportunity after she got out of what he called "a pretty horrible relationship." "She sent me a nice message one day, just reaching out," he said. "I guess it turns out she always had a crush on me also."

Naomie and Craig attended Charleston Fashion Week together, and the two immediately hit it off. "We had a blast together, and she got to see that I'm actually a nice person and not a douchebag," Craig said. "She got to see the real person, and we kind of both knew that night that it was going to be a pretty long thing."

A year later, Craig and Naomie are still going strong. They might even be hearing wedding bells in the near future. It may have taken them a while to get here, but we're sure glad they did.
