The Vanderpump Rules cast member called herself "the luckiest girl in the world" as she prepared to hit the Chicago stage.
2024 has been a great year for Ariana Madix — and we’re only a month in.
After a successful run in a TV dance competition, the Vanderpump Rules cast member headed to New York City to make her Broadway debut. Ariana announced the big news back in early December, confirming she would take on the role of Roxie Hart in the Tony-winning production Chicago. She spoke about the gig in a recent interview with New York Theatre Guide, saying she always had dreams of being on Broadway.
“It feels really incredible to be doing this. Every personal move and career move has all led to this,” she said. “This was always and forever what I wanted to do, so for it to be happening — it’s really, really exciting… It’s the longest-running show [currently] on Broadway for a reason. There’s so many incredible female parts, and I love the story that is being told. And Roxie is just the coolest! To have the opportunity to play her is really, really amazing.”

On the eve of her Broadway debut, Ariana met up with a group of friends for an intimate celebratory dinner. The get-together went down Sunday night (January 28) at Quality Italian, an upscale restaurant located in Midtown. Attendees included Ariana’s longtime bestie Brad Kearns and Vanderpump Rules’ alum Dayna Kathan. The former shared a peek at the dinner via Instagram, where he posted a video of Ariana receiving a decadent-looking dessert with a candle on top.
“Congratulations [A]riana,” he wrote on the clip, which captured other patrons applauding. “Broadway debut tomorrow.”
The Single AF Cocktails author reshared the post on her Instagram account along with a gracious message.
“I’m the luckiest girl in the entire world,” she wrote, “with the best friends and family on the planet."

Later that night, Ariana connected with her boyfriend, Daniel Wai, and snapped a picture with him in front of her Chicago promotional poster.
“So proud of you [Ariana],” the personal fitness trainer captioned the Story. “You are on a Broadway advertisement!!!”
Ariana also posted the picture on her Instagram page along with an amusing note: “Jumpscare moment with my own face.”

The Vanderpump Rules cast member will play Roxie Hart from January 29 to March 24 at the Ambassador Theatre. She will follow in the footsteps of fellow Bravoleb Erika Jayne, who took on the role in early 2020. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom shared her thoughts on Ariana’s new gig in the January 17 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“I will say this: congratulations, Ariana, it’s going to be the best experience of your entire life…” Erika said. “[Ariana is] going to have a great run.”
