Izzy Wouters Romance Dating Update

After coming out as a lesbian in December 2020, Izzy Wouters gave an update on her love life during a recent interview with E! News.

How to Watch

Izzy said that, although she is based in New Zealand where there are currently few cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and she has the ability to go out and meet new people, she is still mainly chatting to others virtually. "I'm not really like, actively going out and going around dating and all this stuff," she told E! News. "But, I am kind of now enjoying more getting to know people on apps and online."

Izzy added that she's enjoying "being able to explore this side of myself," because she didn't "realize this at the start of last year because, before that, I just assumed I was bi." She also said that "it's been really fun."

The deckhand previously confirmed during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on January 18 that she's single and most definitely ready to mingle. "Everyone's been very encouraging, and they're all telling me about their lesbian friends that they want to hook me in with," she shared. "So if anyone's watching, and they want to slide into my DMs, like, wink, wink, nudge, nudge."

Several of Izzy's current My Seanna crew mates, as well as other members of the Below Deck family applauded her after she announced that she is "out and proud" on Instagram at the end of last year. Izzy's fellow deckhand and roommate James Hough told E! News in December that he "was super happy for her" after she came out.

Bosun Eddie Lucas also praised Izzy during his appearance on WWHL last month. "We didn't really talk about it much on charter, but hearing that she came out, I'm so proud of her," he said. "She is such an amazing woman, total badass, and I'm just so proud of her. I know that was difficult for her, and I can't be happier for her."
