Is Ramona Singer the Secret Inspiration for Lady Gaga's "Grigio Girls"?
We all know who the number one Grigio Girl is...
Lady Gaga once again shocked the world this past September with the release of her "Perfect Illusion" music video which featured pop star rocking hard in some very, very short shorts. More shocking than those barely-there hot pants was the fact that her latest album Joanne was going to have a country flare. Sure, we've seen her do pop, rock, even standards with Tony Bennett - but country was a whole new territory for the "Poker Face" singer.
But, there was something even more unexpected about her latest album, which dropped October 21st. We couldn't believe our ears as we were diving into the new tracks and the lyrics "All the Pinot, Pinot Grigio girls/Pour your heart out" rang in our headphones on the song "Grigio Girls." Naturally, our minds raced straight to none other than Ramona Singer.
Could Lady Gaga be talking about Bravo's own Pinot Grigio girl herself?
We know that Lady Gaga has a penchant for Bravo already: she loves herself some Patricia Altschul, she's dined at PUMP, and let's never forget when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies and Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen starred in "G.U.Y.":
Plus, we know she's been a #RHONY fan for years!
The evidence seems clear to us. Ramona Singer is basically synonymous with Pinot Grigio and Gaga is a Bravoholic, so what else could have prompted the "Grigio Girls" line "Watch your blues turn gold"? Ramona blue, people! Ramona blue. Even if the pink-hatted songstress didn't have our Grigio Girl in mind, we think we just found Ramona's new tagline: "All the Pinot, Pinot Grigio, girls keep it real cold 'cause it's a fired up world." We can't wait to see Ramona get her turtle time on to her new anthem.
