Tamra Judge has confirmed that her relationship with her estranged daughter, Sidney Barney, remains "the same." She offered an update in an interview with Us Weekly this week, sharing that she's still wishful that their relationship may still be able to be repaired in the future.

"They're the same. She’s away at college, and so it’s still pretty tough. But I haven’t lost hope," The Real Housewives of Orange County mom said in the Us Weekly interview.

Tamra has always been open about the challenges her family has faced in the years following her divorce from Sidney's father, Simon Barney. Sidney is their eldest daughter and she decided to live with Simon, while their son Spencer chose to live with Tamra and husband Eddie, whom she married in 2013. Tamra and Simon's youngest child, Sophia, splits her time between both households. (Tamra is also mom to son Ryan Vieth from a previous relationship.)

While tensions between Tamra and Simon have recently eased a bit as of late, Tamra has been candid about the toll her familial strife has caused her.

"We have this big division in our family," Tamra told ET earlier this summer. "I don’t want to cry, but… our kids split. And Spencer lives with me and Eddie for the past four years, and Sidney is off at college and, you know, I think it was a real, big eye-opener to both of us, and I think that it was a time that we realized that we gotta keep it together."
