Sutton Stracke Reveals Exactly What Her Girls' Nights with Garcelle Beauvais Are Like
"We’re so silly together," The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member said.
Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais first met in Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, socializing with the other ladies of the 90210 during girls' trips and parties. However, it wasn't until one memorable dinner out that they really got to know each other on a deeper level with Garcelle asking Sutton more about her personal life, such as, "How'd you get your money?"
Garcelle explained her queries in an interview during the episode: "Sometimes I can rub people the wrong way because I'm so blunt, but all the other women are afraid to ask really deep questions. But that's the only way you're gonna get to know someone."
Well, it looks like Garcelle was right about that. If you've been following this duo on Instagram over the past year, you know that their friendship has only gotten stronger as they have both shared the sweetest photos of their get-togethers. They continue to be close in the current Season 11 of RHOBH, such as when Garcelle accompanied Sutton on her Bentley shopping trip in a recent episode.
When The Daily Dish caught up with Sutton in May prior to the RHOBH Season 11 premiere, she opened up about her connection with Garcelle. "It’s just so happenstance, you know? When you meet someone like this — Merce Cunningham called it chance operation in his work, and I think, sometimes, life has chance operations involved every day. We met, and as Garcelle said, 'I don’t know if I like you, and you don’t know if you like me,' and it ended up that we both like each other a lot," Sutton explained. "We’re both working, single moms, and we understand the trials and tribulations of that. And also with that comes when you work, you work hard, and when you have your days off, you play hard, and we like to laugh and enjoy those times off from work and from kids, and they don’t come a lot. So, when we get them, we enjoy them."
During times when their kids are with their dads, Sutton said that she and Garcelle enjoy keeping each other company. "We’re on the same schedule. So, we have our boys at the same time, and then we are off. They're at their dads’ at the same time," Sutton said. "When we don’t have our children, we don’t like to be alone, so we’ll, like, go to dinner or whatever."
That also includes one especially "really fun" New Year's Eve party to ring in 2021 that Sutton and Garcelle spent together, along with a few other friends. "I had rented a house, and she came. It was at the beach, and we just got to have a very, like, no makeup, kind of, flip-flop, beach thing," Sutton shared. "And for New Year’s Eve, we got dressed up and put on makeup and cooked, and I cooked, and got to enjoy each other and just play music and kind of have, like, a little mini-party with the eight people that we knew that were all COVID tested and had been in our bubble. We just kind of kept it safe and to have as much fun as we could."
Sutton also recalled watching the ball drop in Times Square on TV and sending a video with Garcelle to none other than Andy Cohen, who was hosting CNN's New Year's Eve coverage with Anderson Cooper that night.
It's shenanigans like these that really illustrate the kind of friendship these two have, according to Sutton. "We were just laughing. We’re so silly together," Sutton said. "I mean, she pokes fun [at] me, and then I laugh. I think that’s how it goes."
