Jacqueline Laurita’s Son Is Making Strides in His Journey with Autism
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum shared a major milestone for her formerly non-verbal son.
Jacqueline Laurita's 10-year-old son, Nick, has made huge progress in his journey with autism, including reaching a major milestone, The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum proudly reported on social media. She posted a touching video to Instagram showing Nick reading aloud that (warning) should give you an overflow of all the good feels.
"I found a bunch of videos that Nick records all by himself on his iPad. (His hands are scarred because he chews them often...ignore that)," she wrote. "Nick reads every part of a book from cover to back! Pretty good for a once non-verbal kid!" She added the poignant hashtags "#Autism" and "#Progress."
Jacqueline recently revealed that Nick is loving his new school in Nevada, where the Laurita family relocated earlier this summer. "He loves the playground (park) the most, but he also loves taking pictures of the school, jumping on the mini trampoline to Frank Sinatra, and learning to count coins!" she wrote on Instagram on August 14.
"Happy to see Nick really bonding at school with his friends!" she wrote in another Instagram post on August 21. "They are taking just a little break from all the hard work they do. He honestly can’t wait to go to school everyday. They keep him busy. (They are on a mat)."
If the Laurita family had any doubts about moving out west earlier this summer, this should reassure them that they're in the right place at the right time.
