Jacqueline Laurita Shares How Son Nicholas Is Responding to New Autism Treatment
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom is trying something new for her 10-year-old son.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Jaqueline Laurita recently shared that her youngest child, son Nicholas, 10, recently had his "best day ever" following his family's move last summer to Nevada. And now she has an update on how Nick, who has autism, is responding to a new treatment.
On Instagram on January 27, Jacqueline shared new photos of Nick hooked up to a machine and explained what was going on in the pics. "I just wanted to share that Nicholas started a new treatment [twice] a week called IASIS Micro-Current Neurofeedback! It’s a safe, non-invasive way to help the brain detox. It features low intensity pulses using transcranial electrical stimulation to 're-boot' the brain. It retrains the brain and nervous system."
Although Nick was initially hesitant, it seems that the treatment is now officially a success! Jacqueline wrote, "Nick wouldn’t cooperate the first 3 sessions AT ALL, but now he LOVES going because I think he feels the difference and it’s a relaxing experience. I have noticed a reduction in behaviors/meltdowns and an increase in focus and concentration, as well as sleep. We are about 10 sessions in. We are now, more recently, starting to focus on areas of the brain that will hopefully bring out more speech."
She also shared that the treatment could potentially be helpful for various medical issues. "It’s an excellent treatment for people who suffer from Anxiety, PTSD, Depression, mild/moderate traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, migraine, memory disorders, fibromyalgia, headache, insomnia, ADD/ADHD, and other neurological conditions that have shown high levels of delta wave activity. This treatment has been proven to reduce or eliminate high levels of delta wave activity and has shown a reduction in anxiety, reactivity, impulsivity, brain fog, Headache pain, and diminished insomnia. These changes are enduring and sustainable!" she wrote.
